46Then Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee, where He made the
water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47When He heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee,
he went to Him and begged Him that He would come down and heal his son, for he was at
the point of death.
48Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see
signs and wonders you will not believe.
49The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies.
50Jesus said to him, Go, your son lives
. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken to him, and he went away.
51And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told
him, saying, Your son lives.
52Then he asked of them the hour when he began to get better.
And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which
Jesus said to him, Your son lives. And he himself believed, and his whole house.
MKJV |
- The father, most-likely a royal officer, implored Jesus to come and heal his son,
when his request failed to happen. The father still stood in faith believing the
Word that Jesus had spoken.
- The man believed the Word of Jesus and his son was healed that very hour.
We have all the promises within the Bible, the written, spoken and prophesied
Word of God. If we take the promises in the Bible literally, believing that God
can and will do them, we will see great signs and wonders.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things,
which thou knows not, Jeremiah 33:3.
